this little life

Holy Spirit

Boldly I approach your throne

carrying only the essence of my life;

my loyalty

my purpose

and my body

the humblest offering

this little life

of failure, joy, quiet mornings and hot coffee

tear soaked pillows, belly laughs and vanilla scented candles

this little life of mine

is all I have to lay at the foot of your Holy throne

please accept

this humble little life

as an acclamation of my

love, trust and enduring loyalty

to your kingdom of Justice and Grace

Holy Father

I wish I were only offering

this little life

into your Potter’s hands and asking nothing from You

but I cannot

for I am not self-sufficient

daily I come face to face; pupil to pupil

with the frailty of my humanness

May your power be ever magnified

in my weakness

I must boldly ask you for

    peace surpassing all understanding

supernatural clarity where snares of confusion crouch

protection from all things threatening to separate me from You

Courage to walk in faith towards my divinely appointed purpose

away from stumbling blocks of distraction and doubt

All this I boldly ask

in the name of the One True King

My Rock, Redeemer and Eternal Hope

Amen
